I don’t think I’ve shown how to WRITE on your quilt for appliqueing
It’s actually very easy!
Open up a quilt you want to write on.
This one is my “Chicks Rule!” quilt that was in McCall’s a few years ago
On Layer 2
You’ll see a button called “Set Applique text”
(if the button is not there, click the tiny arrow at the bottom of the column to show more buttons to add)
Once you click on it, you have to pick what typeface/font you want to use
pick a font and size you want
Then hold sown SHIFT and drag a box where you want to type something and write your word(s)
You can just click on it and change the font and size until you have it right
Then use the spray can or paint brush to color in the letters/words
you can use the adjust button to stretch it out too
and use the CENTER buttons to center the words
you can also rotate the words
Now select the words with the black arrow and you can then print templates
pretty simple!!
Have fun
