Last time (2 weeks ago) I created a tutorial for the Accuquilt Isosceles Go! die.
I noted about the straight up layout that there SHOULD be a way to line up the rows and have the triangles be facing each other instead of this.
well I was right! it’s all about the BORDERS!
So again use the one patch layout and select LIGHTNING and make the triangles 5 x 6 then only have 1 vertical row!
Now comes the border part.
Add a border, but uncheck “All” in the middle and also the L+R and T+B
and only add a row to the bottom that’s 6” and
select the style to be POINTS OUT and choose 8 horizontal (vertical doesn’t matter)
Then you get this!
Now add borders to the TOP and BOTTOM, again 6” and choose POINTS IN and 8 blocks again.
Do another T+B row like this and select POINTS OUT
Now you can go back to the previous row (row 3)
and select CLONE selected row and click ADD
Now you can make the quilt as big as you want by going back one row and cloning it
here’s one colored
(I selected a color and held down ALT and clicked on a spot on one row and the spot just above or below it on another row)
and with a white background
or another colorful version
Now if you want to make it wider, you do have to go back and add a block to each row, but it’s no big deal
Try out this tutorial and link up below
That is so neat, Big Thanks for combine the 2 Accuquilt and EQ;7. Cant wait to make my own designes.
