Now it’s time to PLAY with the fabrics!!

Here I have a QUBE sampler I designed for Accuquilt’s blog and made a yellow baby version

But Let’s see what different fabrics will look like!

Once you’re in the fabric library and scroll down and find your stash and click on it, there’s lots of different companies listed!

Let’s try a few

Andover outlander is very grown up

Andover 76 quite groovy!

If I added that outer fabric into a block, it’s a large print and here’s what it looks like in an 8” block

image

Now look how different it is, when I change the block size to 12”

image

That’s one thing I really love about this, the fabrics are TRUE to scale and when you change the size of the blocks in EQ, it keeps the fabric to scale so you can see what it would look like in real life!

and if you right click and unclick outline patches you’ll see what it REALLY looks like sew together without the black lines

image

You can unclick all of them, but I tend to keep them selected and then uncheck the outline boxes when I export/print the quilt or block

image

I couldn’t help but play with this block and these groovy fabrics, here’s the same block repeated and a new fabric in each block

Far out!- until next time Winking smile
