EQ Tutorial Tuesday Jesus Runner

Many of you saw the JESUS table runner project on EQ’s Countdown to Christmas.

I know it’s a free file and if you haven’t already done it, you can download it here.

Here’s how I made it

First I did a new layout with 1 x 5 blocks (default 9” blocks are fine)

Then I found the Foundation pieced letters in EQ

and added the letters to sketchbook.

And Added those into the quilt and colored them (or you can color later)

Then I wanted a border and did a blocked 4” border, I might have done a regular border first and gone back to change to blocks after I added the vine border.

Under AUTO BORDERS on the right (you may have to add it, if it’s not there)

I found VINES and selected the one with just leaves

and added it to the border

Then added 3 horizontal borders 1” wide each to the quilt

On layer 2 I added TEXT

and then dragged a box below the JESUS letters and wrote the bible verse

You can select which font you want with the pull down bar

All there’s left is to color it!

since I was sharing the file, I did colors and NOT fabrics.
