This was probably my oldest UFO!
I had most of this done and left it alone for years, then picked it up and did a few hexagon flowers then back in a bin and finally recently I sketched it out in EQ and made a plan and cut out hexagons and fabrics for all the rest and had it with me on the rides to and from church on Sundays and many nights watching TV too!

Here I finished the hexagons and took out the papers
then trimmed and added a white border- I finished this in January, then it just went in the pile to be quilted….
I knew I wanted to quilt custom on it, I love doing the curves from corner to corner on hexagons and then I did this flame loopy thing on the border
The backing is a purple floral and the binding was this neat striped fabric I had JUST enough of!
since I machine stitch down my binding now, I had actually run out of white thread so I had the idea of using this white and black color changing thread instead, it adds a fun touch.
a fun quilt to make and I’m SEW glad it’s done and I can cross it off my list!
