I finished the binding on the scrappy trip around the world quilt over the weekend- all scrappy binding too!
Of course Sonja had to do her inspection as usual!
I also did a scrappy backing- I tried to pick my “ugly” fabrics that were maybe an OOPS buy….. good, they are GONE!
The quilt looks great folded up
Do you need some green scraps mommy?
No!? how about black or brown?
I started and prepped the next owl block for the hidden forest pattern, I’m almost done stitching them down too, goes pretty fast compared to SOME of the Ahhhh’s
Saturday my husband set up the pool, while it was being filled we all got in it!
Now I didn’t have any swim diapers for Sonja, so she just wore a regular one, look how big it got! Guess how much it weighed!?
Over 2lbs!! wow that’s a lot of water in there!
A diaper weighs 1oz!
I also finished a matching dress for my 8yr old daughter!
They matched at church on Sunday

Your scrappy quilt is so FANTASTIC !!!!!I love it.Grit
LOVE that scrap quilt!!
I love the scrappy quilt. I must make one. CUTE pictures of the girls : )SWEET matching dresses.
Love the Scrappy Trips–makes me want to work on the one I started in January. Now that's a full diaper!!Must be an adventure sewing with Sonja in the room. : )Your girls look so cute in their matching dresses. I used to do that for my girls when they were small, but they were only 13 months apart and everyone thought they were twins.
Pretty girls and pretty dresses!
Fabulous scrappy trip! Good idea for the back too.
Another wonderful quilt. Such beautiful girls together.
Love your scrappy Trip. Awesome finish.
Your scrappy quilt is beautiful! I think Sonja is saying "Oh such pretty colors Mommy!". OMG, you are a nut! (I mean that in a good way.) You weighed the diaper. LOL Too funny. My Mom made my older sister and I matching dresses once. We had professional pictures done and I ended up wearing the same dress twice in the pictures … once wearing the original she made for me and then a few years later I wore the hand me down (the one that was originally my older sisters). What's funny is my Mom never realized I was in the same dress twice until I mentioned it to her when I was an adult!
I wouldn't delete your finished projects from the list. Put them all at the bottom.
do you have a pattern/tutorial for this beautiful scrappy trip around the world quilt? thanks barbara babscorbitt@gmail.com
Hi Bea: I'm just beginning Hidden Forest quilt. Are you hand appliquéing the blocks or sewing them down by machine? Just wondering….Also, I would put the finished ones on your list at the bottom as someone else suggested….arden
