Dolls, swoons and bubblegum

I recently finished another doll and put it up for sale on etsy here

She’s 18” tall and has removable skirt and ribbons in her pigtails.

The arms are attached with buttons so they are movable, the face is machine embroidered and the doll pattern is from dolls and daydreams.

I also added these 15” dolls.

Recently my friend Laura was over and finished most of her SWOON top from the swap I hosted last year, it looks great!- just missing borders.

Laura is pregnant and due in March (so hopefully she’ll finish before that)

While she was here I finished the applique on this bubblegum quilt top- which I won at a quilt show when I was pregnant with Sonja, finally it’s ready to quilt!

I did raw edge applique on all the pieces (not the prettiest corner here but it’s better in person)

I also got a fabric delivery recently, some My little pony fabrics and Yenter fabrics and muslin….. uhhh I want to cut into all of it!

  1. Your dolls are so sweet. The fabrics in the Bubblegum quilt are really pretty and it will make a great finish.

Your friend looks ready to burst! I remember those days :*) Of course, it hasn't been too terribly long since you were ready to burst with Sonja. Love your bubble gum applique – such a sweet quilt!

  3. Oh gosh, I sure hope your friend makes it. She looks like it could be anytime soon. I LOVE those dolls. They are all just too cute.

  4. The dolls are just adorable. Too bad that Sunshine does not like dolls or I would have gotten on from her when you first started making them.
