Did you see this other crazy patch table topper quilt I made?

did you see this fun crazy patch table topper I made for Accuquilt’s blog?

Just like my post yesterday I the new mini crazy patch die is great for 10″ squares and this time I used a stack from Strata Graphite by Michael Miller Fabrics (from my ambassador box) available in store in July!

to make it easier during sewing I alternated 25 squares with light and dark and cut them this way too

I always keep my ongoing projects in these plastic bins

then just like a stack and whack method I took JUST the middle “diamond” fabric and laid it on the bottom of the pile

Then I sewed the blocks together

at first I lined them up like the back of the stack showed by MMF

Then I decided to shuffle them around with alternating dark and light backgrounds (of course that’s always up to interpretation)

then I sewed it together

A fellow MMF ambassador suggested pebbles and something else and I decided to just do pebbles all over except for the “diamonds”

I did curves on every other diamond and straight lines on the other

I used a solid grey from MMF for the backing and binding too

Batting is Warm and Natural – of course 🙂

The quilt is 30″ x 30″

I call it a diamond in the rough 😉
