I was so excited to get this add-on for EQ8!
AccuQuilt GO! Qube: Mix & Match, Plus Corners and Angles
As you know I both LOVE EQ and I LOVE Accuquilt QUBE dies (really, all the Accuquilt dies, but my favorites are the QUBE sets)
I use both for most of my patterns!!
This product includes 216 GO! Qube-friendly blocks for your EQ8 Block Library. Add any combination of these blocks to your Project Sketchbook to design beautiful quilts in EQ8 (The same blocks that are in the little booklets in the QUBE and companion sets!!)
Let’s have a look!!
After installing it, you go into the EQ block library and it’s added at the bottom below the 10 sections included in EQ8
Then when you open up the Accuquilt Libraries, there’s 3 sections for the Mix and Match and the 2 different companion sets!
Then you can have loads of fun with the 216 blocks included!
There’s also a PDF included and it shows the same blocks and then the matching die #s, which are all the same # for each QUBE size, but the block size is just different depending on the QUBE size 🙂
For example this block, I know just by looking at it, that the center white is die #6, the small triangles are die #5, the larger red triangles are die #4 and the blue squares are die #2
So for easy math, if the QUBE set/ size of the block was 8″ then the blue squares would be 2 1/2″ cut (2″ fin.) but the same square with the 6″ QUBE would be 2″ cut (1 1/2″ Fin) and if the block/QUBE was 12″ then those squares would be 3 1/2″ cut (3″ Fin)
(and of course EQ also shows you the rotary cutting measurements)
If you have EQ8 and some QUBE sets, then this is a great ADD-on!! and you don’t have to design the blocks from scratch!
