Did you have a nice Christmas?
Friday, Christmas Eve we went to church and for the first time our church had put on a play and it was really cute!
Christmas morning of course starts early, I actually woke up at 2.30 AM and just played on my computer then I heard the younger girls wake up at 6am and I walked out near their room and quickly the lights went off, they thought it was TOO early, but I busted in there, turned on the lights and said MERRY CHRISTMAS and jumped up and down, lol…. woke up the teenagers and the unwrapping began!- too many gifts this year!
I had actually sent all 4 kids to Walmart a few weeks ago to go Christmas shopping- for ONCE! Us adults usually don’t really get any gifts, we don’t really buy each other stuff either, we just buy it when we need it, right? anyways, the kids were SO excited to get us something which was nice to see! The kids know me SO well, they got me a GIANT ferrero Rocher chocolate, I actually had gone to Costco the week before with Dan and said a box of them there and said that’s for me and I even wrapped it for myself, ha ha!! They also got us both a T-shirt and each other some gifts, so that was nice to see 🙂
Sonja has always loved TINY stuff, she makes her own tiny things, mini foods, mini whatever and for an advent calendar this year, i got her a Mini BRANDS calendar and she loved it, then I also got her this KIT of a mini cat house where she has to paint and glue and put everything together, I had never seen anything like it until a few months ago….
Here Solveig is helping her put it together
Then for Christmas dinner we had my in-laws over.
Sunday was our 23rd Wedding Anniversary and we had friends over for pizza and they gifted their kids a laser tag game set that they brought.
It was so much fun, I played a bit too, then took a break and watching these different colored light run around the yard and squealing kids was hilarious!
So a very busy weekend, it’ll be nice to get back to normal this week and then New Years and who knows what 2022 will bring?
Your Christmas sounds wonderful – faith, family, friends. I send wishes for a healthy, happy New Year.
thanks, and to you too!
Looks like you had a beautiful Christmas!
Thanks, it was great! Hope yours was too
Happy Anniversary!
