diamond customer quilt

A week before Christmas a customer dropped off this quilt and asked if I could finish it by Christmas… I didn’t, but I did finish it on the 26th

This is made by someone’s grandmother and was all hand pieced from shirts (I think)

I quilted curves on the blocks (again)

Then on the border I did some feathers all the way around

Here’s a picture of the backing,

I had to piece more muslin to it as her backing was short 4” (shorter than the top) so I added quite a bit more.

and being such an old quilt and hand pieces AND diamond shapes, it was NOT square at all, nor laying flat in some spots, but I did the best I could and I trimmed the backing and batting so all she has to do is add the binding now.
