customer’s stained glass quilt and blue stars

I finished a customer quilt today.

It was a gorgeous stained glass quilt.

doesn’t it look awesome?

I quilted it in a teal thread and did a swirly design, sort of matching the fabrics and what she said too, that’s what stained glass looks like when you look at it really closely.

Then after lunch today I also finished the blue star quilt top, I knew I was close so it didn’t take long.

Do you see my “ODD” thing?

the sashing was supposed to have these four patches but somehow I didn’t have enough made and I started this so long ago, I had put the scraps on my “blue” shelf and used it for something else, luckily I had some other dark blue fabric in the box with these pieces so I just cut out squares and figured it would look fine in the center like that, now that I look at it, I should have made two more for the center two blocks, so only the outer edges had the four patches, but I’m not doing to fix it now, it’s still fun! I have the binding made using the blue fabric that’s in the center of the star blocks.

This quilt measures 65″ x 76″ and I designed it in EQ a long time ago and got the fabrics from connecting threads.

  1. The stained glass quilt is amazing! I love the colors. And your quilt top – great fix!!!

  2. I really like that stained glass quilt, but I love the blue one. I laughed when I read your description of how you put it on the "blue shelf" and used the fabric for something else. I also have shelves dedicated to colors, so I could really relate. I like how it turned out, so it was obviously a happy ending. And that list!! Oh my!!What fun it is to cross things off and get them done. You are inspiring for sure!Elizabeth E.opquilt.com

Holy Cow – that stained glass quilt is fabulous! Looks like you're making progress on your list.
