A project I started recently JUST BECAUSE, was this crossed canoe quilt.
I realized I didn’t have that many quilts that screamed baby BOY! so I figured I needed to have a blue and white one for “just in case”
so I designed this in EQ (and made a video)
and quickly I cut out the pieces with the Accuquilt die and the 9″ QUBE set for the borders
And I laid out the blocks in sort of a light and dark layout even though I only used scraps from my BLUE scrap bin.
and here I added the border!
It measures 45″ x 54″
Here it is all quilted and bound.
I quilted curves from corner to corner on everything.
Here’s the back of it
I’m changing my blog around so if you see missing days or odd things going on, don’t worry, it’s getting much better SOON!!
This is one of my favorite quilt blocks, so classic, it looks vintage. Well done!
that is just stunning!
That turned out really pretty! And I love how you quilted it:)
Wow, the quilting from the back is really amazing!
