Have I ever shown you my “to be quilted” board?
I list the title to the left, the measurements of the top, batting and backing and if the Label is done and the Binding, either with a checkmark or a number if the binding hasn’t been made yet, then how many strips it needs.
At the bottom of the board are sizes of large chunks of batting that I have- I also have a roll of warm and natural, but these could be packaged battings or chunks left over after I made a quilt and cut off the remnants from the roll…
anyways…. my board is empty!! a first in, I don’t know how long! I don’t know what to do with myself!!
Of course, start something new!!
I have signed up for a local craft show by the town I live in, and my big sellers last year and at other shows are these fun ITH eyeglass holders
I have owls, cats and dogs!
Here’s the box that my husband made for me a few years ago for them and I have them sorted in rainbow colors!
-it’s funny, a customer might walk up and look and then comment, oh you don’t have a purple cat- oh then I don’t want one….sigh…. oh well
So I try to have variety!
I’ve been working on soscrappy’s color of the month, Sept’s color is blue
Here’s my blue mosaic block
and the 9 so far
and also a bear claw block, though I wished I chose a neutral background on the blocks, but oh well.
and here’s the 9 bear claw blocks
Then double flying geese
and 9 sets
and a blue sister’s choice (when I was at the quilt show this summer, at a booth they gave us a cut strip of random fabric to tie around the bag and since I bought two Frozen panels, they had a matching strip
and here’s 9 of them
I also got a crumb pincushion in the mail (sorry it took me so long to blog about it) I love it in the 30s fabrics!
Thanks Sandy!
What cute eyeglass cases. Yes, we all want 'our color' when we buy something.
When is your show? I am busy prepping for 4 shows, it's pretty crazy at my house right now. Good luck with yours. Oh I totally get the need of variety to please everyone we possibly can(and make the sale!).
