Couldn’t help but join the mystery

Bonnie hunter started her mystery!

I got out my fabrics and I like them but I didn’t LOVE the step 1 blocks, also I don’t want to make the full sized quilt this time (88 x 88)

So I had an idea! a boyish quilt!!!!

If I make a 1/4 of the blocks, it should be 44” x 44”

and I also wanted to do yardage this time, just to make it easier, so I found these fabrics! LOVE- just for fun….

I think it will be fun.

Yellow = light green

Green- green stars

Turquoise – Turquoise swirl

pink – turquoise solid

black – blue floral (top fabric)

white- white

I decided to make the HST units from 2 7/8” triangles and tested some of them, PERFECT size!

Here’s my finished blocks

I made 70 HST units and put 20 aside then made 25 of these sets (well still sewing some as leaders and enders this week)

  4. I wasn't going to do it, but I did like the color choices and that's what swayed me. It sure is a lot of sewing though…a smaller size is a great idea! Love your color choices!
