In 2010 they had a fabric designer competition and it was a great success and the winning design was adorable!
It was Hello Sunshine!
I still have some fabric from this collection for a quilt along.

You submit your designs between 7/22 and 8/10
The winner will receive $2,000 and a contract with Connecting Threads to have their designs printed on our fabrics.
Just like last time, this competition will take place in rounds and the public votes for the winners!
It’s fun just to see who makes it to the finals.
Here’s some guidelines
Guidelines for Uploading Your Files:
Image Size:
Please size your files to be no more than 800
pixels in either direction at 72 dpi. Your files should be at 100%
scale, so when clicked on the voters can see the actual scale of the
fabric. If your design repeat is larger than 800 pixels,
we recommend cropping in on an area that gives the best idea for voters
(your original sized files will be used if you win).
Image format:
JPG format only please, at the maximum quality
level in RGB color space. Please retain your original high resolution
artwork in the event that your design is one of the finalists.
Starting on August 14th, the files you have
submitted to the contest will be on display for voting. All of the
information you entered in the form will be visible, except your email
address, which is only for us if we need to contact you.
We will email you by September 3rd if you are a finalist, and you will
be given second round design instructions at that time.

I'm no fabric designer but I have an idea, are there prizes? I've looked all over and can't find it or how many fabrics should be in the collection
Love those fabrics but I agree with the first comment, I don't design fabrics…do you?
