After I did the winter table runner’s for the IB challenge earlier this month and realized I needed applique, I had seen an email or post from Accuquilt with this fall runner which I made for them last year and wrote the pattern too.
and I had a bundle of Christmas fabrics leftover in my Island Batik pile, so why not try a Christmas version!
The table runner is made with the 10″ qube, so after I cut those out, I also prepped and cut out a circle in white and a gold ornament topper with heat n bond or steam a seam lite on the back- I forget which one I used.
Then I made the blocks and appliqued down the applique, I used a green variegated thread for the ornament.
Then I added borders, I actually didn’t have enough red, but I had two reds that were close together so I used one long and one short of each and mitered the corners.
I quilted a pointy swirl in a variegated red white and green thread too.
Here it is on my table.
It measures 16″ x 36″
I have it listed in my etsy shop here
I really like how you can switch out from Christmas to Halloween….just clever as usual
