This month’s theme is Christmas in July!
I started off with these yummy strips
Add a styrofoam ball and pins,
I started making an ornament following the pattern here by ornament girl
Here’s the finished result!
I also added the canvas “ribbon” as my hanging ribbon
Then I got another idea inspired by pics on ornament girl’s facebook page, somehow she started with a square piece of fabric, so I tried these deer from the Holiday happenings collection
and here’s the end result of that!
The two ornaments together
I’ve made two other ornaments before, one in spring batiks from island batik and one in scrap fabrics in black and white and grey.
If you want to try this pattern, it’s quite addictive and these batiks make gorgeous ornaments!
Wow! Those turned out beautifully!quiltnsrep(at)yahoo(dot)com

That is so awesome…I have made those before and it is so fun but I love love love yours…..
Too cute! I love making those ornies!
I love your ornies – I've tried this but mine do not look as beautiful as yours.
I think yours turned out better then mine. Beautiful!
Those are pretty. I want to try this sometime.
Your ornaments are beautiful, Bea! Inspirational too because they are now on my to-do list! They will make great gifts as well as enhance our own Christmas. Thanks for sharing this!
These are so wonderful!
