I finished this charming little house quilt made with charm squares, a pack of batiks from Connecting threads I think, it was a pack with only 20 pieces in it, so I wasn’t sure what I was going to make with those pieces. But then I started looking thru my love-sew club patterns and remembered this house quilt- the pattern for them uses more charms and there’s doors and windows too but here I just made the houses and thought the batiks were busy enough.
I used the 6″ QUBE set and also white fabric and the quilt measures 15 1/2″ x 26″
I quilted it with white thread and a design called cumulus.
Not sure where I’ll hang this or what to do with it, it does sort of look Scandinavian and I am going to send my mom her Christmas present from last year which got returned to me because she didn’t pay her import tax/customs fees because she was in the hospital. Her former landlords are super sweet and have cleared out her house and brought her furniture and clothes over to the nursing home and they did NOT want me to pay anything or send them anything, but I might send this little quilt to them or a table runner, just as a small token of thanks.
