Brown can be bright scrappy quilt is done

I finished this blue and brown scrappy quilt, it’s been such a long time since I started it (Oct 2021) and I worked on it as a “leader and ender” project for a while, then I finished the top and it sat there for months waiting to be quilted!

The pattern is called “Brown can be bright” from “Stash Lab” by Tonya Alexander,

I used the 6″ QUBE for it

Since the quilt was all scrappy, I thought a blue scrappy binding would work well too (the one on the left)

I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but looking at the picture like this, I DO like it! It measures 50″ x 59″ and I quilted a design called “turbulence” by Intelligent quilting

On the back I used this cat print I had, I had thought the cats would be smaller and cuter when I bought the fabric, when I got it I wasn’t sure what to do, the colors seemed to fit the front, so why not? then I added a band of light blue down the middle 🙂

Now I need another scrap project!

  1. I like it! And I love how you use the Accuquilt system for so many of your patterns. I have the 6, 8 & 12 inch Qubes & always looking for ideas. Thank you so much.
