Back in January I guess I was in a sorting mood again and decided to make a scrappy log cabin quilt
Of course I used the log cabin die!
I also added scraps of white, either solid white or white on white prints- so all scraps!
Then I made the blocks and this time I ended with a 12 1/2″ WHITE strip, so that would be interesting!
I played with layouts but ended up liking this peak and valley or mountain layout- I don’t know the real name of this layout
I’m always running low on blue yardage but had a bit of white white and blue striped fabric and I sewed it together so the double strips would be matched up right.
Then it was on the shelf to be quilt for a long time until I got some yardage that would match
I quilted a large swirl design that’s called hot cocoa
The quilt is 51″ x 62″
The back is solid blue and I used the same for the binding
I have it listed in my shop
and on Etsy
Nice quilt. I really like that border fabric with it.
Lovely log cabin quilt, I love this wide quilting design!
