Blue and White log cabin top and selvedge mug rug

As you may know (especially from Instagram- bealeequilter)

I’ve been cutting into my blue scraps and cut enough to make 20 blocks

I also added scraps of white for the other half of the block, some are solid white, some are white print, it didn’t matter!

I’ve shown a teaser photo too of the blocks almost done

here’s the blocks ALL DONE!

Then it was time to pick a layout and you might have see my EQ tutorial on log cabin blocks!?

I decided on this “mountain” layout

I then found this blue and white striped bubble fabric and I had enough for a 2 1/2″ border!

Now the top measures 52″ x 64″ and I think that’s a good size!

I also made this selvedge edge mug rug, a first for me, I have only been collecting the selvedges for a short time and figured I’d try it, especially after seeing Turid’s pincushion(s)

Like this one she sent me for January (notice how it’s all Michael Miller!?) very clever!!

and the licorice is ALL gone already!!

and my blue bin is still overflowing BTW!!
