Black -not widow- Spider quilt

a few weeks ago AGAIN, I was looking at my scrap bins and came up with the idea of doing a black and white spider web quilt with the accuquilt die

and to use low volume prints on white- so not white on white, but I have a bin with prints on white, so I chose either neutral on white or black on white- I had this cat print that was fun and snowflakes or maybe they are VIRUSES??? ha ha

Also I had this big chevron print that kind of threw things off a bit, but it also made it fun.

This is the top I ended up with, the blocks finish 6″, I think it’s fun there’s a bit of teal/turquoise in the prints and then that funky large chevron print just makes it “interesting” too

Then I added a border with black and white rectangles with the 8″ QUBE set shapes #8 and #1 for the corners in solid black and a white print again.

The quilt is 32″ x 38″

This was the first quilt where I had upgraded to QCT5 and there’s a power panto option and OMGosh! it’s amazing, it nests the designs perfectly and figures out that I can quilt 2 or 3 rows in one “sitting” until I have to forward the quilt.

The design is paisley playtime by urban elementz

it’s quilted in white

While cleaning up our storage/junk room that’s next to my studio, I found some random fabrics like flannel and this tan flannel fit perfectly!

I also found some cotton and there was a bit of dark brown that worked for the binding!

I have it listed here in my Etsy store

and in my shop
