I have a really fun and easy pattern listed in my shop called
Sacrifice
the main blocks are crown of thorn blocks
Traditionally the Crown of Thorns Block uses a different color in the
middle parts of the block and the outer triangles are a lighter version,
here it’s all scrappy and fun, even the white is scrappy. The only parts not
scrappy in the quilt are the peach sashing strips and the outer border.
John 19: 1-5
Finished sizes: 34” x 46”, 58” x 70”
Finished Block size: 10”
Quilt can be made with the 8” QUBE set by Accuquilt
Here I made the scrappy version of the LARGE quilt and used light blue and red scraps, then a light blue yardage for the border and the white is even scrappy, the peach sashing was yardage, it measures 58″ x 70″

and the back
Then I decided to also make the small version and this time used yardage for everything and made the background the “fun” fabric and the look is quite different!
This one measures 34″ x 46″
