I have a new pattern to show you!!
French Braid Stars
Finished sizes: 42” x 42”, 42” x 66”
Finished Block size: 12”
Skill Level: Beginner
French braid quilts often take a long time to make because you only sew one section on at a time, here it’s just a few sections combined together into star blocks, so it’s a great introduction to French braid blocks!
It’s a fun and easy pattern, I made the square 42″ x 42″ version
Blocks can be made using the 6” QUBE set and companion corners sets from Accuquilt or rotary cut.
I thought it would be fitting to quilt fleur de lis all over it, hence the name 🙂 (fleur de lys by urban elementz)
I used leftover scraps for the backing and the turquoise for the binding
(Pictures shown of quilts made by my testers)
Here Georgia made 2 tops and the longer one inspired me to change the pattern to include 2 sizes!
Here’s Angela’s version without a border
