What a whirlwind of a weekend!
Friday Bjorn turned 18 and then Saturday we moved him into the dorms at Wingate
Friday we had sushi for lunch and Dan made french toast for dinner- yeah it’s kinda backwards 😉
 
Dan got a chocolate cake from Costco and then I scrambled for candles and we still had an 8 leftover from Sonja’s birthday so we stuck a regular candle in the cake to make an 18 (totally frugal ha ha)
at Wingate we had to check-in in a long car line where they did a temp. check and gave Bjorn his dorm key
Then we moved him in, a nice dorm room at the end of the hall on the 3rd floor- yeah it was a haul to carry everything, but it wasn’t too bad, he didn’t have THAT much, later his room mate came too so we got to meet him and his parents.

and check out the internet speed!! we’ve never seen it that fast!
We’ll miss Bjorn, it’s more surreal to walk by his room and it’s completely empty!
Hope he’ll have a great time there and be safe and they won’t shut down!
I cried like a baby when I left my son. It is a good thing. Best of luck to Bjorn.
It was harder for me when we had both boys in college at the same time. You do worry about them. Mine were a days drive away (8 hours and 12 hours away).
