I finished the BOW for this week : ESTHER, this block was a tricky persian star.
The original block suggested to applique the triangle sections. I then got the idea to treat it like a kaleidoscope and it worked pretty well.
My blocks are 8” where the original is 6” so the middle square would be better to applique!
I finished a customer’s quilt too, I think the pattern is from MODA.
I copied the quilting designs from the pictures
Lots of feathers and ruler work!
(I’m sure the original was quilting on a domestic machine, because I had a LOT of stops.
The only thing I changed was to add feathers on the outer border
Look how much thread I had cut off! a nice little bird’s nest
Sonja still likes my cords from the clamps on the long arm
And she’s getting into my STUFF! I think she wanted the water bottle for the iron. NO no no!
School is almost out and I wanted to show these tote bags I made for my kids teachers. I also added a portfolio for each and may add a little more.
Here’s the first TEST apple
A bit tricky with the tote, but it did it!

Nice quilting, Bea.Very cute teacher gift totes!Looks to me like Sonja is ready to take over the studio. : )
First of all congrats on your pattern being published I opened my latest Quilting magazine and there you were, I love seeing my blog buddies pop up all over. Love the totes, great job!
I love reading your posts … very inspirational. LOL, Sonja looks like she's even on her tippy toes trying to reach that bottle. Next step she'll be climbing up the shelves. Hope you have them anchored to the wall so they won't fall on that precious little girl.
Your quilting is fabulous!!!!
Love the block and I have that quilt pattern, waiting for a plan to use it. The quilting you did on it is great. And I'm not surprised that little missy is getting into your stuff more and more.
Actually the quilt was designed by me for the Moda Bake Shop. The quilting was also done by me on my friend's long arm. The line work part of it I did on my domestic machine. I haven't done much on the long arm and this one took me a long time to do but I am very happy with how it turned out! Nice to see that others liked it well enough to do the same! Next time I am in NC we should try to meet up.
