I’ve been working on some different things and in between I’ve been doing more women of the bible blocks!
Again I used batiks from Island Batik
This one is Rahab (wall of Jericho)
This one is Deborah (honey bee)
This block is Jael (Anja’s middle name BTW)
If you know about Jael in the bible, you’ll laugh and wonder why we picked her name as a middle name- it’s a tough hardcore name!!
I modified this block, it was supposed to have a curve on the outside and even with this being removed and changed to straight lines it was still a tricky block to make.
This block is Delilah
and this one is Naomi
Then I downloaded a Mini4” QAL block from Quiltart here
This was was CRAZY small!!
It’s a cat block and those eyes were teeny tiny!
I used sea salt batiks from island batik to go with the May paper piecing theme! Now my daughter wants a pillow with a cat on it, so either 4 of these side by side or a larger version.
Janeen was nice enough to send me a larger version, because this 4” version kind of did me in, so stay tuned for that!!
I also got a squishy package in the mail the other day, a pincushion from my pincushion swap partner Bev!
I especially love the personalized B mini pincushion.
Another squishy package was from Connecting threads – their chambray fabrics are just gorgeous! the blue looks like denim!
(It’s for a quilt for a magazine, so stay tunes for that!!)
I also decided to add a border to the hexagon Ahhhh mystery quilt, now it’s a nicer size.
Lastly, here’s some cutie pie pics
What are you up to lately? working on a new project or catching up?
Where you get the time to do all of this with a little one is beyond me. Loved all of your blocks and to be honest that cat is amazing….
