Berry squares quilt is done and more

the Berry Squares Quilt is finally done!

I finished the binding last night. woo hoo!

here’s a close up of the quilting.

mini feathers in the squares with bubbles/pebbles around the border

on the pin I quilted leaves and berries, on the blue meandering with a 3 leaf clover.

I also finished another fabric ball 🙂 my daughter picked the fabrics

And, Yesterday I finished quilting my neighbor’s quilt.

She had bought this kit at connecting threads last year I think and finally finished it.

I quilted a curvey meandering all over the middle of it- so many pinwheel intersections!

on the border I quilted a large feather and then a loopy string on the skinny border

Now with the smooth sailing bundle, I really wanted to make the block I showed for the RWB swap and make it “scrappy” from that bundle, so I took out one FQ and test cut it and all the pieces fit, it’s a squeaker, but they fit! I will write about that later 🙂

after I made this I realized it was similar colors to my original pin cushion from 2 yrs ago, back then I did needle turn now I machine applique it, I like the new way better 🙂

McCall’s picked ANOTHER design for me to make a quilt for their magazine!! I’m so excited…

I already emailed connecting threads, the same person who’s doing the giveaway and they are donating fabrics for this quilt too!! awesome awesome…. I’m thrilled.

I’m not letting in interfere with a baby coming- no….. you know me, I’ll find a way to quilt!
