I finally got this roll of batting, I tried hobbs this time…. t’s nice and soft.
The kids loved playing ROW ROW ROW your boat on it and fall off
The batting was also for a customer’s quilt, but last week I also got another 2 quilts from another customer and I squeezed in this baby quilt in the morning before the batting arrived.
It’s a cool modern look!
I quilted curves from corner to corner on almost everything
The grey strips were tiny blocks so they got curves too, then there were some white sashing and I did bubbles on those and the outer border.
My quilt guild had this block as their BOM for February, it’s all FPP, which I like and then these prairie points at the edge of the cupcake paper cup, the points are supposed to point upward, but the directions also say to NOT remove the paper on the back, which seems odd, then I can’t top stitch the point, nor do stitching around the cherry or the stem, so I have to break one of the rules, either leave it like this OR take the paper off and do it right? hmmm
Another reason why I haven’t posted much this week and last, is that I’ve had a tooth ache, I’m finally going to an endodontic today- well I’m supposed to, but they are promising snow this afternoon, so we’ll see.
My pain was above two teeth that already have had root canals done and the pain is higher up, so last Monday (on my birthday) I woke up with the tooth ache, went to my regular Dr, thinking it was my sinuses, he said to take sudafed for a few days otherwise fill a prescription for amoxicillin later in the week, by Thursday it wasn’t any better so I went to my regular dentist who took X rays and saw stuff by both teeth and in my sinuses, but gave me the referral to the endo dentist, I had discomfort there 2yrs ago while pregnant but nothing major so went to the endo and decided to wait and see…. well now I’ve googled this and if I don’t need another REDO of the root canal it’s an infection in my jaw bone and that’s surgery and yuck! I’ve seen pics of that, it’s so GROSS and totally freaking me out.
So snow or not, I really want a diagnosis so I know what’s going on.
My story about these teeth are a much longer story, we’ll see what happens.
I love your block. Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques. Generally I do not remove any paper at least until the block is stitched to other blocks. The bias tends to make them a bit unstable and prone to stretching.Good luck with your teeth. I hope it turns out ok for you.
Best of luck and hoping for a simple fix for you!
uha det lyder ikke sjovt…god bedring!xBente

Oh Bea I am so sorry to hear that your teeth haven't gotten better. I can't imagine you wanting to do any quilting at the moment. I hope you were able to get a diagnosis and don't look at any more surgery photos!
Bea feel better. And whatever you do, do not look up your symptoms on the internet, or the diagnosis. I did it recently and it just made me feel worse. Hope you start to feel better soon.
I hope you get feeling better soon!
