Batik Strip quilt is done

The batik spinner quilt is done!

I used a jelly roll from Island Batik and added a small border using yardage I had on hand already from them!

I quilted pointy swirls all over it in a light coral thread color.

I also machine stitched down the binding and tried a decorative stitch in orange.

Then binding is sort of scrappy between green and orange.

Here’s the quilt outside

Sonja was “helping” me so of course I had to pose her with the quilt

The backing is totally scrappy!

Though I calculated wrong when I started long arm quilting it, I meant to center the back vertically too, oh well.
