Here’s a sort of scrappy baby boy quilt, I found this pattern but for a larger quilt, it uses 6 FQs, half a yard plus border fabrics.
Once I sewed it together with the border, the 1 1/2 yds that I thought I would use for backing just didn’t fit, I kept the width of the top less than 42″, so I ended up chopping up the backing and adding these strips, I love how it turned out.
This is for a new baby at our church, and it didn’t cost me anything! ( all from my stash including batting- well I did buy it all ONE time) you know what I mean 🙂
