Advent calendars are getting more popular over here, I grew up with them in Denmark and loved to open up a little present every day of December until Christmas Eve! Then after moving here and having kids, I started that with my own kids and for several years I’d get a big lego set and then split it up into 24 x how many kids I had that year, so they’d have to build the set together and follow the lego manual (I’d rip off or cover the front page so they couldn’t see what it would look like) This year however it’s different, they are getting 4 different calendars, only Solveig wanted a lego one, so I have to “just” split that into 24 sections- maybe she’ll have her little sisters help her, Bjorn is getting a chocolate one, Sonja wanted a “mini brands” one and Anja loves Play Doh- last year I bought a big box of them and some cheap “tools” and split those up, this year I found a set on Amazon…
I had an idea to try an advent calendar with YOU! Each day a quilt pattern goes on sale (PDF and sometimes the printed pattern too) but you have to hunt for it a bit, so I’ll give you clues each day! and they are only on sale for that DAY!
Here’s the clue for December 1st!
THIS pattern is a SAMPLER and teeny tiny! if you make a block a day you will finish by New Year’s!
Go to the quilt pattern page
and you can then “search” for the clue words
