Accuquilt QUBE star Table Topper

I finished this star table topper a few weeks ago and it’s not going on Accuquilt’s blog so I’m showing it here Smile

and it’ll be my 2nd Applique project for Island Batik this month

For this quilt I used the 6” QUBE and companion set and the serendipity set

You know me, I like to sew as much as I can in one shot before ironing, this is after maybe 3 sittings…

and I got the flower done and the blocks

You may have noticed that I changed part of the star block to the yellow batiks and here I sewed two yellow circles together and cut the center out of one and turned it inside out

Then sewed the blocks into a 12” block

and also appliqued the star down

I used a fun variegated thread for the outer tips and yellow for the middle

Here it is all done

I quilted echo quilting around the star and curves on the blocks

The fabrics are by Island Batik called Rise and Shine

and these were scraps from “Good Morning” project I made for them for their new catalog here

(I’m in there twice, but you’ve seen my churn dash quilt there before)

What a neat table runner Bea! I've got those same dies and keep saying I'm going to make the serendipity center. Beautiful batiks!

  2. Beautiful work–love the colors and the design. And you make it look so easy.
