I can’t believe it’s been a month already!
Time flies when you’re having fun!!
This month I have Connie be a guest Blogger and show a GO! project also.
She made this cute clam shell pillow!
Have a look at her blog for more pics and info.
The die I wanted to feature this month is the WEDGE!!
A few weeks ago I did a Tutorial Tuesday about Fat Quarters
I had bought this bundle at Connecting threads called spring terrace
and I listened to YOUR votes and tried the wedge.
I was able to get 10 wedges from each FQ (I think)
I didn’t have room on my design wall for all of them so I did it in stages
I had the FAT sides touching be the same wedge, so it offset the pairs on the rows.
Then I sewed 2 and 2 together on just the first row and put them back on the wall
Then did 2 and 2 on the 2nd row and 4 and 4 now on the first now
And continued on, so by the 3rd row it was 2 and 2, then 4 and 4 on the 2nd row and 8 and 8 on the 1st row.
I also ALWAYS add a pin on the block or fabric that’s on the RIGHT of the row, so just in case I get it messed up I remember the pin and usually I have 2 pins on just the top row/right side.
But if you do this method and cut the blocks apart one at a time and iron one at a time, they stay in order.
Here’s the top all done it measures 60 x 71
Now I’m not sure if I should trim it straight or leave it AS IS, the corners are not bad so the binding won’t be that hard to attach.
Isn’t the top fun?
I also finally finished the Bowtie Quilt top and border!
I really like it!
And I have a FINISHED project from last month’s scraps leftover from the apple core quilt I made a mini hexagon quilt and finally quilted it and added the binding.
NOW SURPRISE SURPRISE!!
Accuquilt is sponsoring not just ONE giveaway but 2 !!!

Very beautiful projects. Interesting results with the wedge die. Inspirational. Love it.SewCalGalwww.sewcalgal.blogspot.com
The wedge looks like a lot of fun! Right now, my favorite die is the original hexagon die. I've found that the largest is the exact size I need for my 180 Stitch Society hexies–what a time saver it's going to be! http://moosebaymuses.blogspot.com/2014/03/stitch-society.htmlI follow both you and Connie. Thanks!
I follow both you and Connie on Bloglovin. The wedge looks like a great die to have.
Beautiful wedge quilt Bea and I like the other ones too!

I have been to Connie's already and now over here. I loved your quilt. I haven't been able to buy many die's but I do have the rag quilt on and I made my GG a wonderful quilt for a wedding gift. She loved it. Thanks for the offer. I have the GO. Love all your projects. You are a very busy one like Connie. 😉
Hard to pick a favorite die, they are all so much fun. Recently bought the 1/2" hexagon for a long term project and it makes cutting the papers a breeze. I follow both you and Connie with AOL Reader.
This looks like a very cool die. I love my 5" die, as I can make my own charms with it. Thanks for the giveaway!
The 2.5" strip cutter is my favorite. I use it to cut not only strips, but to cut multiple squares if I get them on straight. Thanks for the chance to win another giveaway. Here's a link to a jelly roll quilt I made with my strip cutter:http://new2quilting.blogspot.com/2013/01/jelly-roll-1600-race-quilt-complete.html
I use the value die the most. I made some of my blocks for the Vintage Holiday QA with them. http://maxinegiveaways.blogspot.com/2012/09/vintage-holiday-qal_21.html
I am a follower!
I only have 3 dies and my favourite is the tumbler!
What an interesting way to use this die Bea. Great looking quilt top. Very cool. I think of all the dies I have so far, my 5 inch square is the one I've used most often. I love that I can quickly cut my own charms using that one. I already follow both you and Connie.
Your wedge quilt is lovely. The colors are so pretty.I follow you and Connie. I think my favorite die is the paisley shapes for applique.
I love the die and use it all the time, especially for Suffolk puffs. Love your quilt made of wedges, it would be wonderful to win the wedge die

I follow both you and Connie. My favorite is the tulip, but I have used it yet.
I love your ideas with the Accuquilt wedge dye. I would love to try the Blazing Star. My favorite dye I s the Arabesque #3. Four of these fit together nicely in the center of my version of Snap, Crackle and Pop in the Moda Bake Shop.
I own the 7 1/2" tumbler and used it as a way to entertain my sick 6 year old grandson. The tumblers he cut became a king size quilt. Noe I am using my log cabin die to cut pieces for a two color log cabin.
I'm new so I don't have any yet, but I plan on getting a Go Baby in the next year or so. I would love to get started on getting the dies together so I'll be prepared. I love your quilt done with the wedge it is beautiful. Thanks for the giveaway!tdkcarpenoctem@hotmail.com
I do follow both blogs! My fave Baby die is the 2" square die b/c it helps me tame my scraps!
I am a follower of both of you great ladies. My favorite die is the hexagon die. Still working on my project with it though not done yet.
I love the tumbler die. I dont have the wedge but would love to have it. I follow both Connie and you on blog lovin. Loved Connies pillow.
Now that I've seen a project with the wedge die, I want one! I have seal dies but the one that gets the most use is my 5" square – we go through a lot of scraps with that one! I'm a long-time follower of Connie and a new one of yours, via email! Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!
My current favorite die is the Angel with which I made an angel quilt for my mother in law. She loved it and I loved not cutting out 56 angels! The use of the dies has given me more time for quilting (less for cutting). Yeah Accuquilt!
My favorite die is the Go Circle 2", 3" & 5" die. I like that it is so versatile. I helped a friend decorate six sleeping bags she made as Christmas gifts for her grandchildren with it (used the die to make the eyes, noses, etc with it for the animal faces). I'm already a follower and your blog and Connie's blog. Thanks for the giveaway 🙂
I follow your Blog & Connie's too, thru Bloglovin'.Love your Wedge Quilt. So far I have only made a Tumbler Throw. It was easy & sooo much fun! Only have a few die's…so would be thrilled to Win this Wedge Die …oh my goodness! lol

Hi Bea,I am a follower and commenter on both yours and Connie's blogs. My fave die that I own right now is the 2" square die. I know that is a little boring, but I am planning to make a scrap quilt, a la Bonnie Hunter, and it requires about 2,000 2" squares…so my square die is a true timesaver! Thanks for the giveaway,Jacqueline in Pitt Meadows
I am a followers. My favorite dies that I have are the three-heart die and the 2 1/2 strips.
I have just started to collect dies so I only have the equilateral triange die. I would love to add this one to my collection. Thank you for the chance to win. Take care and God bless, Cory
Just got a Go!Baby! I have only used the 2 1/2 square. Would love to win another,
I have a GO and I don't have a wedge die, so I'm very excited about this giveaway as well as Connie's.
I follow you on Feedly. I've admired that connecting threads collection and I love your quilt. My favorite go die is the hexagon die– making a quilt with thousands and thousands of 5/8" hexies and cutting them out is so easy with the go.
My favorite die is the train appliqué. It's great for kids quilts. I follow both you and Connie. Thanks for the chance to win.
Either the clam shell or the wedge would be great for cutting up my huge amount of scraps.
I am torn between the tumbler die and the apple core die – right now I'm making an Easter table runner using apple core blocks. My first try at curved seams and they're working out pretty well! Thanks for the give away!
I've really liked the tumbler die – but can see how this wedge would really have such modern quilts. I already follow both of you! Thanks for the chance!
Don't have my own Go, but would bribe my sister with this to share hers and all of the dies she has. I want to cut a zillion squares to make an intricate 2-color quilt, but I love the "long lantern" idea with the wedge.
