Accuquilt Challenge Bows, circles and Ohio Star

accuquilt challenge 2015

Did you see my blog post on Accuquilts blog?

I used the circle die

GO! Circle-2", 3", 5" (55012)

The bows die

GO! Bow-2 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" Fabric Cutting Die (55341)

and the Ohio Star die

GO! Ohio Star-12" Finished fabric cutting die (55174) - packaging shown.

You’ll see more of the tutorial on the Accuquilt blog, but here’s some more pics too of how I cut out the Ohio Star pieces after sewing charm pieces together randomly.

I also did the same method with the circles and then cut out 4 red ribbons/ bows too

Part of the Ohio Star triangles I sewed together again into QST blocks

The ironed/fused down the ornaments

and free motion stitched around the ornaments including adding a decorative stitch line

This runner was super quick especially with the GO dies, so if you have these on hand, there’s still time to make one for Christmas!

Have fun!

Now I’m not sure how I’ll do the GO Challenge next year, if I’ll just highlight the project I do for them, as I’ll be featured once a month on their blog, please do subscribe to theirs so you get all the posts!
