I was so excited to be part of this blog hop and get some more NEW dies!
My DIE to show you is the flowering snowball
it’s 12” finished, the die is HUGE
I chose to make a quilt out of Island batiks “sprinkles”
and I came up with this design in EQ7
cutting out the pieces took one afternoon, if even THAT long.
since it’s curved piecing, I pinned them a lot and matched up the notches in the middle, which is a GREAT feature of the Go! dies…
Then I pretty much sewed the blocks together like a nine patch.
Here’s the blocks all ironed
and laid out on my design wall
Blocks sewn together and border added ( the same yellow as the center of the blocks)
I used a dotted multi colored fabric for the binding, it’s just FUN!
And Voila, the quilt is quilted and bound!
I think it took 2 days and one evening to sew the binding on by hand.
Sure wouldn’t be this fast if I hand cut all those pieces!
I quilted funky flowers and leaves all over the quilt.
the backing was a scrappy purple from my stash
I embroidered a flower for the label and named it

You did a great job! The dies really do save a lot of time!
What a beautiful quilt Bea! Love the batiks and the Flowering Snowball looks like a fun die, I'm adding that to my wish list!
I do not own any of the dies or cutter, but I sure enjoyed seeing your quilt and process!
Gorgeous quilt Bea! I love how you used the Flowering Snowball die (which is now on my "want list")- and I really like the label you created. Beautiful…
Wow, those beautiful Island batik fabrics really pop in this lovely design. You did a great job.SewCalGalwww.sewcalgal.blogspot.com
wonderful fabrics and design
What a gorgeous finish, Bea! Love the use of the batiks in this design. Well done on the curved piecing. Very pretty quilting, too!
Beautiful! Love how easy it was to put together. Your colors are great and the quilting is very nice.
Wow. I love batiks and the fabrics you choose just made the design pop. This die wasn't high on my wish list but now it is at the top. Thanks for sharing.
Ahhhh I love being right (takes a moment to bask as it very rarely happens) and the quilt is beautiful I love the purple and blue together, I've only recently got into batiks, finding some of the more subtle ones with gradations of colour are my style, rather than the 'sock you in the eye with colour' kind. How you pulled that together from scratch in just 2 days though boggles my mind totally. We should call you SpeedyBea!
Wow – only 2 days… Isn't Accuquilt amazing?! Love your new quilt 🙂
I saw this die and wasn't sure yet on it, but I like what you created with it Bea. Looks great.
