When I was sorting thru my bins of projects earlier in January I found a few orphan blocks and one was this butterfly block
So I decided to add a small border on it
It measures about 16×17 so I was able to carefully add a FQ as the backing and long arm quilt it, it was a squeaker but I did it!
I just quilted swirly lines all over it and it took no time at all even though it was pretty densely quilted.

Fun butterfly! I think I’ve used that same pattern; I made scrappy butterflies for the rainbow scrap challenge one year. Love the backing print on this!
