Did you see this fun ABC pillow I made for Accuquilt’s blog recently?
Here are the GO! dies I used:
- GO! Qube Mix and Match 12″ Block set, dies #1, #5 and #8!
- GO! Carefree Alphabet set
- GO! Carefree Alphabet Lowercase set
- GO! Fall Medley
- GO! Northwoods
- GO! Calico Cat
- GO! Gingham Dog
- GO! Elephants
- GO! Leaping Frog
Fabrics needed:
- 1/4 yard of white, and two different brown fabrics
- Two gray fabrics for the letters
- 1/4 yard or a Fat Quarter (FQ). I used scraps that were big enough.
- Scraps of brown fabric for each of the animals and acorn
- Heat n bond lite.
The blocks are actually 9” finished but made from the 12” QUBE set to make the attic window
I then prepped all the applique pieces and cut out 6 upper and lower case letters
and 6 appliques to match
Then I laid them on the blocks and appliqued around
Then sewed it together like this using a walking foot
and sewing the sides together is a bit tricky, but doing them one side at a time is not hard, I just stopped 1/4” from the beginning and ends and backsttiched
Then left an opening for stuffing, turned right side out and filled with fiber fill!
and then here’s the cute pillow!
So cute. What a great idea and excellent tutorial too! #CreativeGoodness
Cute! Good idea for my grandbaby.
