A quilted laptop bag

While on a roll with the quilted bag book, I found a laptop bag pattern in the book (from the cover) and it’s a pattern by Connie K – a fellow Island Batik ambassador!

I asked Solveig if she wanted to make one, she didn’t BUT she’d like me to make it Winking smile

So I had her pick some fabrics from the shelf and I picked the placement.

The front pockets have these small HSTs and it just happen to work with the 6” QUBE set! so that was a snap to make!!

The bottom was supposed to be one piece but since this fabric was directional, I cut it in half after adding seam allowance

I didn’t have fusible fleece, but added batting and quilted it.

The inside had pockets and a divider that was really neat!

I asked Solveig to pose with the bag and this is what I got!!

I also wanted to show this calibre mat that I “won” from the row along designer group, all I had to pay was 50c thru amazon!!

  1. That's a great bag. I have always wanted to make a laptop bag, never got around to it. And since I am due for a new laptop soon, I'll wait and see what size I get.

  2. The bags in the book that you have made are great. Connie came up with a good pattern with all the pockets, etc. The bag you made looks like it wasn't too hard. I always like when tools like the Go Cutter can help with part of the process. The Calibre mat is great, isn't it? Such a wonderful Win for you. Mine is smaller, but I really like it. I can't wait to get the ok to get into the sewing room. I just like all the blocks I can cut with the Accuquilt and look forward to a great bit sampler quilt!
