A Quick tutorial on Accuquilt’s blog

Did you see this post on Accuquilt’s blog where I showed how to make a quick and easy table topper?

First I designed this in EQ8

The blocks are really 2 QUBE’s wide, so here I used the 6″ QUBE set and the finished quilt is 24″ x 24″

I used both the companion Angles and the companion Corners set as well

And scraps of fabrics, mostly from Connecting Threads, White, plus light, medium and dark of the 2 colors.

Here’s how much to cut out of each shape

White

96 of shape #5 triangles

16 of shape #3 triangles

16 of shape #10 signature shapes

Each Light Fabric

16 of shape #9 chisels with half of them flipped

Each Medium Fabric

16 of shape #7 parallelograms with half of them flipped

8 of shape #5 triangles

Each DARK Fabric

16 of shape #5 triangles

8 of shape #16 trapezoid shapes

You can look at more detailed pictures on Accuquilt’s blog but here’s the quarter sections of the block before sewing them into blocks and then the whole top.

It’s really a fun block to make and you can use ANY of the QUBE and matching companion sets to make this, the fabric requirements and finished size would just be different 😉
