A not so quick finish!

I have worked on this quilt for quite some time since Oct 2021, the pieces are TINY!!

I used my 4″ QUBE set to make the bowtie blocks and then 2 1/2″ squares to make the four patches

(which is either #1 in the 4″ QUBE set or #2 in the 8″ QUBE set)

The quilt measures 36″ x 40″

because it’s less than a WOF I used yardage sort of for the backing, first this feather one and then a red dotted fabric above and below it

Here’s a closeup of the blocks and the quilting

I love these sort of “free” scrappy quilts, I really DID use all scraps, even the solid white as I often get small pieces of white leftover from other projects.

I even did the binding scrappy! I used any solid colored leftover binding strips I had and made it long enough for the quilt.

I’ve now started several other scrappy projects, I pulled out several of my own scrappy patterns (I have 18 of them!!) and used my dies to cut out pieces and then I grab a handful from each project and start sewing, then before long, another top is done and I’m working on the others still. Usually I work on 4-5 projects at once, it keeps it all FUN and everything progresses nicely!

Right now I’m working on Coin Toss,

Shoo Bee,

Reflection,

Sacrifice (but it’s sort of paused a bit)

Beach bum I finished the top for,

Honor a Veteran – with yardage!!

and Never ending story, but that’s also being paused, I don’t like the blocks and don’t know if I should continue with the “theme” or add more randomness to the blocks.

And I just finished a scrappy quilt I might turn into a pattern!

What are you working on right now?

Love it!! I am helping my husband make a small quilt for our new granddaughter. He made one for her big sister in 2020!
