I wanted to wait until I had at least some quilting pics to show!
we’ve been kind of busy around here.
My neighbor offered to paint the baby’s room, so she’s been doing that the last two mornings, it looks awesome!!
here’s BEFORE
and AFTER! a nice lavender 🙂
See! I did do SOME quilting- more pics about that later in the post 🙂
Here’s another picture of Peanut, he’s not getting any of….
these! my husband and kids made peanut butter cookies the other night.
my husband makes much better cookies than I do 🙂
and the sunset the other day was so pretty I had to snap a picture of it with my new camera.
Now, have you ever seen one of these??
my neighbor brought it over for the kids to see, it’s some sort of horned carterpillar that eats tomato plants, I’ve seen it before, but NOT with the eggs on top of it, those are a kind of wasp eggs, when they hatch they burrow into the caterpillar and eat him from the inside! yuck! well good for the tomato plant, not good for him….
here’s a youtube she sent me about it
And I also got some fabric in the mail- Christmas in July!!
well they are not really christmas-y fabrics, more like winter… but fabric.com had them on sale, so I just couldn’t HELP myself…
here’s what I want to make with it….
BUT make it into a tree skirt!
I have been working on more hexies 🙂
And sewed on some labels in missing quilts, this is the back of the wonky house block swap!
Here’s the lil’ twister quilt all done!! TADA!
I quilted in a swirly loopy pattern
if you click on the picture you can maybe see it better.

So sweet! Your nursery is going to be beautiful :*) You have so many cute projects going on. I LOVE the twister quilt! We are doing one that is a Christmas tree at our next guild meeting. Your new fabrics are really cute and will make a wonderful tree skirt!
You are one busy lady! I painted my granddaughter's room about that same shade of lavender–beautiful!Lovely sunset (and cookies).Yes, I have seen tomato hornworms, but never covered with eggs like that. Fascinating!I love that tree skirt project! I want to make a new tree skirt, but 28 years ago my MIL paid $200 at a fund raising auction for a simple, one fabric, tied tree skirt and gave it to me. I don't dare use anything else, even though I don't even like the fabric. : )
How could you refuse a face like that a cookie?! Hahaha. What a wonderful neighbor. The room is lovely. The sunset is amazing. The caterpillar was most interesting. Never saw that before. Thanks for sharing!
The sunset looks reminds of the babies room.Isn't awesome how God makes all things work together. I get excited when I see those wasp on the caterpillars because it creeps me out to pick them off my plants.
hi bea good to know you are still doing well take care not long now
great projects! The video led to another – a time lapse one of the hornet larvae emerging and building their cocoons. Gross but interesting!
Bea, love the lavender room! I have seen a worm like that, it's some kinda grub worm I think. He was on some tomatoes we had a few years ago. We haven't had a garden in a couple years. Next year I hope to plant a huge garden! I just found your blog. I love love. Love it. You make me want to blog myself. You are very inspirational to me!!!!! I'm in a Facebook and yahoo group for quilters, someone told me about you, I think they thought you lived in Georgia. I'm looking to meet quilters in Georgia who have a Voyager17 with stretch frame. I'm looking to buy that and start quilting. You are very inspiring! I might skip chirch just to read your blog!!! No, but I've got it bookmarked and I subscribed!!!
My word, girl, you have been busy! Lots of beautiful things here – love that lil twister quilt, and the tree skirt you have planned will be wonderful!
As always, wow-wie. The tree skirt will be great and so is the twister quilt. The room color…similar to my daughters, gotta love the pruple!
Awesome projects. The swirly one caught my eye.I take a biscuit, yummie!!
Your blue and white is beautiful. and poor caterpillar!
Wow, you have your hands full! Love your twister quilt! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday!
I have all kinds of likes…;o)I like your little hoot owl header. The fabric is sew cute. The sunset photo is really pretty. That's weird about that catepillar. I had never heard of such a thing. eww but I guess it serves him right for eating your tomatoes. ;o)Oh and your TO DO List is dwindling. Wish my was.
