A little handwork

I finished the first little Gnome EPP block with fabrics from Michael Miller Fabrics.

It’s quite a bit block! I have 6 in total to do, then I’ll figure out WHAT to do with them.

I work on these on Sundays on the way to and from church usually.

Then for some reason I was thinking about other handwork- I think because I got a yarn catalog in the mail the other day, it made me miss my days of crocheting, so I whipped by Walmart and picked this up- of course I had something else in mind but they didn’t had that yarn and I quickly found a pattern for a scarf with this type of yarn- I can do a scarf! and with only one skein of yarn!! Should be fun, so that’s my next hand work project.  Don’t know if I’ll put the gnomes aside or what, since it’s 10 months until Christmas it can wait, a scarf may still be used- we MIGHT get snow soon, we seem to get cheated on that front- ha ha Front—– get it??

I know you guys up north will be begging me to come take your snow away,  but here we get a forecast of maybe snow and excitement sets in then when the day comes, it changes to just cold rain! We’ll see.

I already did a little bit, now it’s just the same 2 rows repeated over and over again 🙂

This is all the snow we’ve gotten so far in late January and 30 min later the snow was melted and gone!!

  1. Ha ha you get snow like we do here in Oregon. We had one snowfall a while back that stayed most of the day. Today our weather forecast was for snow this afternoon which we finally got this evening. The weatherman was predicting that we will get up to three inches and it will last through the weekend but tonight that forecast has changed as they are now saying snow in the mornings and changing to rain in the afternoon. Sometimes I don’t know why they bother with a forecast as they never have it right here.
