A Hoot of a dress and WOBBOW and kitschy

I finished another dress for Sonja!

A “Susie Sun Dress” from Peek-a-Boo patternshop

I had 1yd of this cute owl fabric and the patterns called for 2 different fabrics but total it was 1yd, it was PERFECT! I even got the braided fabric to turn the right way too- not that you notice it.

Here’s my little model showing it off Smile

I’ve also finished another Women of the bible BOW

This is Naomi- I omitted the “eye” in the middle.

Next was RUTH… If you’ve seen my board on pinterest or seen the block from last year, when I made the blocks 8”.

It was tricky then! and now that I’m doing 3” I modified it in EQ and printed the FPP pattern, but decided that it was still crazy to do, so I looked at the study again and found an alternate block (so I’m making that one instead)

Here’s the FPP for Ruth- crazy!! right?

Hmm, now I can’t find the block I used for Ruth, except the EQ drawing.

I also finished another FPP block- the June Kitschy block

What a cutie in her new dress! I made all of my daughter's clothes and my first granddaughter's. It is so much to see their excitement over a new garment.

What a sweet dress Bea and Sonja is getting so big! What a cutie!

  3. Toss up which is cuter Sonja or her new dressAdorable!!! Love the new Kitschy block, too.

Sonja as usual totally "rockin'" the new dress, even at her tender age, she's used to standing against that wall so Mummy can take her picture for the blog, I thought the shoulder straps were ruched/elasticated then I realised that's the bit that you braided. You've had a flying week with the sewing Bea, finishing dresses and blocks, phew!

Sonja is getting to be such a big girl and love her dress. Great job.

  6. I enjoyed seeing the little dress and model and also interested in your Women in the Bible blocks. I came from Quiet play though to see your Sew Kitschy block and love, love your fabric choices. If I hadn't already started, I'd love to use similar fabrics!
