A few things in the mail and catching up

This week I got a package in the mail from GREECE! –and some cool stamps too.

I won this little sewing pouch from the hexie blog hop.

Isn’t it cute?? I love it, fun stitches and details, love all the blue and then the inside hexie for pins- more about that in a bit.

Sorry now I can’t find the email with the BLOG that I won it from, if you’re the one who sent me, let me know the blog and I will link!

I also ordered some other goodies in the mail.

Doodle stitching and a 4” hoop (smaller than I thought, but still great)

While my friends were here this week too I showed them all my quilts, they are usually folded on top of a shelf (or two) here they are folded and ready to be put back up.

(Sure hope I sell some of these in December at this county wide artist guild tour I’m a member of now)

I’ve also been working on the TWIST it to batiks blog hop item using this fabric.

And I finished the Women of the bible BOW – Martha.

a tricky block to make.

Of course since I had a few new items to play with I HAD to start something…. so I printed out and traced some farm animals onto Kona white. I’m thinking I’ll make a bag out of it, we’ll see

Then I used some of my own business cards and wrapped some floss around and added a pin to the hexie pouch.

I cut small slits in between the colors at both the top and bottom to tie the ends to or rather trap them so they don’t come loose.

all ready to go, for the car line at school and on Sundays, so I’m leaving this in the car now, no due date, just something fun and easy to work on.

My previous “car” project was the giraffe FPP quilt, but the background is so big and I really need to concentrate on it, so I took it back inside.
