I got the X and + table runner on the frame and decided to use the clamshell template for it, tricky going sideways! it’s done but the tension on the back is horrible!
I’ll add binding, toss it in the wash and see what happens.
I don’t have much else to show so I figured I’d show random family pics!
Here’s Anja at the gym with me, I usually got Tue-Thur, the Tue and Thur class are HIT classes, the Wed is a body part class- toning, yesterday we were working on butts
Anja and Sonja have made up a new game of dragging Anja in the laundry basket around on the floor, I suggested a quilt under it so it glides better and is easier to pull.
This happened the other day, I was about to iron some fabric and Swiffer just had to sit on it!
and we got a little visitor living under our new deck, a small bunny
Swiffer just found him (got distracted by Anja here but was really curious)!
Then the other day these flowers arrived, it was from my cousin in Denmark because I had helped him send some stuff! cool!!
and a phonebook arrived in the mail yesterday, I grabbed it so I can make a phonebook quilt soon!
anyone got some great ideas?
Fun pictures. I didn't know what a phonebook quilt was, and had to look it up. Found that you use it as foundation paper. Right?
I have quite the collection of phone books, but, have yet to use any of them. I usually just stitch on old printer paper, since I use my vintage machines, and the stitches are tiny, so the paper rips out easily.
I hate when that happens! So often it looks good on one side on the other side not so good! Good luck getting the tension right!
Vert clever of you to have your kids clean the floors while they are playing – plus it will avoid the floors from getting scratched up. Fun pics. Hope the wash crinkles the quilt and hides any imperfections.
Sorry you have tension issues, but your quilt looks beautiful. Looks perfect for clam shells too! Fun family pictures.
Nice post. Sometimes we have things more important than quilting! I hope the tension issue disappears in the wash!
