I’m slowly trying to make more scrappy blocks for the scrappy quilts I started last year.
First up is a ROAD TO FORTUNE block in green (and pink)
toward the end of last year I decided to pair these with the 9″ butterfly blocks that were also scrappy and both made using Accuquilt dies
So I was missing the green Road to Fortune die to have equal amounts of each.
This is the layout I had in mind, with white sashing and white inner border and maybe a border like this EQ sketch. I don’t know if I would make 20 blocks (10 or each) or 24 blocks (12 of each) or stick with the 16 I have above, then that would be a square quilt and I could just donate it and be done with it?! I don’t know, I might just think about it some more before I decide.
Next up is a Priscilla block– my new favorite scrap block because the pieces are so small!
Here I made one in Peach- it looks orange, but it’s not! and then a matching 6″ star block
so far I have 22 blocks (11 of each)
My plan is to do something like this, so I have a long way to go, I really do LOVE these blocks, so I’ll be patient and keep going.
I need 48 blocks, so 24 of each, so only 13 sets to go, almost half way there!
Are you working on a long time scrappy quilt this year or continuing one from last year?
