Since I work so much with Accuquilt dies, I am pretty good and taking quilts apart in my head and figure out if they are GO friendly or if they can be made with a special BOB die, so that’s what I did at quiltCon!
I was in a hurry to go home and the show was HUGE so I didn’t spend time to stand still and wait for people to move out of the way so I could take a good picture, so several of these might be blurry, but you get the idea.
Here we go!
This one would be a BOB die called Prairie Star
of course there’s more math involved because of all the white which makes it so modern.
Here’s simple star blocks which are dies in the companion sets, I forgot how big these blocks were, but I thought it was interesting to use pink and orange, they are so close to each other and I love how it sort of melts together
Both of these quilts are QUBE friendly
This one is not quite a die but ALMOST a Priscilla block, it’s probably called that but scrappy.
These 2 are sort of QUBE friendly as well
And I was really drawn to this one and then stepped up and looked and realized it was the Washington Puzzle block!
2 more QUBE quilts
Drunkard’s Path and squares, Accuquilt has several DP blocks part of the old QUBE sets and some stand alone dies too.
And more QUBE companion blocks
Of course there’s a lot of math involved in these and I won’t figure that out, because I don’t know who created the patterns, but it’s fun to be inspired by them!
These are great. Is there a way to search on Accuquilt for some Charity patterns that are free and easy to assemble.
