a few more things

This morning I was able to sew for maybe 30 min.

I finished a block for the wonky block swap

And guess what these are? a test… well, they are nursing pads! we’ll see how they work and fit etc.

we also got Sonja and all natural rubber binkie.

And a I found this on craigslist! a swing with music etc, she likes it 🙂

  1. We had that swing for our girls when they were babies and they loved it. So did my husband and I. Your Sonia is just adorable.

  2. Adorable girl with the binky! Good luck with the nursing pads. I made some with flannel and backed with fleece and they worked fine.

  3. When making the homemade nursing pads if you use a flannel backed table cloth inside it will not leak on your clothing. I made some years ago this way.

  4. Glad you are getting some sewing time in. A little here and there and you will have a project complete before you know it.

Love the Binky..would love to know where you picked it up at. I am waiting right now for a call to tell me my first great grandchild is here!

  6. Oh my gosh Bea! She is just adorable. My oldest son has that swing and they loved it. It's gone through both their kids now. Years (you know, back in ancient times when I was a young Momma) ago Playtex has those type of pacifiers. I had nothing but those and wow, were they awesome. Those type of pacifiers were really great during teething time too Bea. I would run one under water so it was wet and toss it into my freezer so it would be really cold and have a tiny glaze of ice on it and when they were really having a bad time with those teeth they loved those frozen pacifiers because it soothed them and they could chew (well as much as you can chew without teeth anyway) on them since their teeth were not out yet. They loved them though.I've seen a few patterns for the pads; some had batting in them while others just had the fabric. I think some of those I'd seen even had a layer of vinyl or plastic to stop the liquid from going though your clothing too. Hopefully they'll work for you.

  7. Your baby is so beautiful! My oldest turned 27 on August 14, so it is speciial to me too!
